So excited! Sand Ridge has offically secured their seed in the playoffs. MY girls are champs! They have worked so hard and they can beat any team they face. There is so much talent on this team. Tonight we made the trek to Snow Crest. Every girl played and we had a great time. The rain held off long enough to finish the game. We have a bye this Thursday so we are going to pick up a scrimmage game. Here is a current list of stats. Great job ladies.

First of all to back track a little! We fell a little short to the Minutemen Tuesday. 8-9. Yes one run! I hate those kind of loses. We had it together for the most part tonight against the South Ogden Spartans. 9-5 Lady Scorpions are now 4-3 and with the play offs in sight, we are ready to make history! We played a great game and everyone played. Great job ladies.

Play off the night! Kylee Blau hits a bomber over center fields head. He got the last home game, game ball. I am so proud of my girls! We had a great night with all the 9th graders playing their last home game. I am sure going to miss you girls, but you younger classman are being left in great hands.

It ain't over till the SCORPIONS STING! Stats will be posted this weekend along with the awesome demo of D'mia and Rylee!

Our first game is under our belts! We played a very, very good comp team last night and I will say that I am proud of our girls. We can see what we need to work on and what our strengths are to build on. It was a great opportunity to get every girl on the roster in the game and look at the players in a game like situation.

First District game is THURSDAY against Roy at Sand Ridge. We appreciate all the support we had last night and look forward to a successful game on Thursday!

Go Lady Scorpions!

LETS GO SCORPIONS!
Just some FYI, I've had several girls ask if I thought they would be good enough to play college softball. My answer, That is up to them!
BEGINNING OF 9TH GRADE: You become a prospective student athlete. All recruiting rules now go into effect. No contact can be made by the coach however the athlete can call the coach directly.
SEPT 1ST OF YOUR JUNIOR YEAR: Coaches may send letters, emails, IMs, text info about their program.
1ST DAY OF CLASS OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR: Official visits can begin however you are limited to 5 different institutions. That should never prohibit you from visiting on your own (unofficial). More of this will be posted shortly.

Mandatory Parents Meeting

There is a Mandatory Parents Meeting for all softball athletes and their parent(s) or a representative for your daughter immediatly following practice at 5:00 pm on Monday the 30th. We will go over our expectations this season and it's a great time to get to know each other. We are having a BBQ and the girls are making softball bracelets. This is for athlete and parent(s) only. Also, we are having a Lady Scorpion discount night at SAV ON SPORTING GOODS STORE. You are all invited to come at 6:30 pm following the BBQ and take advantage of the generous discounts they will give you and your daughter. This is optional!

CONGRATULATIONS!

We are so excited for this softball season! If Sand Ridge has ever had a chance to win district, it is NOW! We have an incredibly talented group of girls this year and are so excited to see how they perform on the field.
